The Gold Rattler was developed in response to a growing interest in maximizing gold recovery of desert placer gravels, particularly those with a high percentage of clay, silt and caliche content. Water and gravity maximize gold recovery – A well designed sluicing unit is more efficient than other traditional recovery methods. Unfortunately, water is rarely available in this type of environment, requiring substantial dollars to drill a well, or haul it from another source.
